WLOTTO INC has renewed its online lottery license in the Philippines for 10 years.
Starting from April, mobile cryptocurrency-integrated lottery tickets can be purchased and prize money can be won with coins for wins. The issuance of global lotteries through mobile is expected to be officially implemented as early as next month.


The global lottery issuer, WLotto INC, has renewed its worldwide online lottery license for another 10 years, which it acquired from the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority(CEZA) in the Philippines in 2020.


According to WLOTTO INC, they stated, "Through the trial operation of the system over the past 2 years, we received recognition for the stability, legality, and reliability of the system, allowing us to unusually receive a long-term renewal from the Philippine government agency." They further added, "Having completed the system operation verification over the past 2 years and securing business rights for the next 10 years, we plan to start the service officially as early as next month."


The industry explains that the reason for the 10-year of WLotto’s online license was due to the company’s compliance with the Philippines' Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) management system, which complies with the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) anti-money laundering laws, a mandatory certification requirement for cryptocurrency services.


“WLotto has achieved the unusual achievement of a 10-year long term renewal.” Said lottery experts, “which means that the technology of WindyPlan, a Korean company that supplies lottery-related technologies and systems to WLotto, has been certified internationally.”


Windy Plan Co., Ltd. is a company that localized lottery solutions and technologies currently issued in Korea and is a professional lottery operator in Korea recognized through the Nanum Lotto Consortium (2013-2018).


A representative from WindyPlan stated, "Through collaboration with WLotto, we have recently introduced a new fusion with blockchain-based cryptocurrencies, which have gained recent attention." They further mentioned, "The service is structured to allow users to purchase lottery tickets using major certified coins and receive their winnings in the corresponding cryptocurrency."
