The Nanum Lotto Consortium, in which Eugene Corporation (023410) participated as the largest shareholder, announced on the 4th that it has signed a main contract with the Public Procurement Service for a project to select the next lottery trustee. The next lottery consignment business will integrate and operate the lottery industry, which was divided into online, print, and electronic fields, and applies domestic technology for the first time.
As the largest shareholder of Nanum Lotto, the second online lottery trustee, Eugene Corporation plans to utilize its experience and know-how in operating the business for the past six years to achieve balanced development of the lottery industry through print and electronic lotteries.
During the 3rd term business period, it also plans to lead the overseas expansion of domestic lottery technology in the future by cultivating the ability to operate domestic solutions and securing business feasibility to improve profitability.
A representative from Eugene Corporation stated, "As the integration of domestic systems and the unified operation of online, electronic, and printed lotteries are applied for the first time, we will focus on the early stabilization of the business. Emphasizing the core competency of the 3rd term business, the operational capability of domestic solutions, we will develop and enhance it to secure the global competitiveness of the domestic lottery industry."
Meanwhile, the Nanum Lotto Consortium, which composed of major shareholders including Eugene Corporation, NongHyup Bank, Daewoo Information System, WindyPlan, Intralot, and other experienced companies in the lottery industry, will entrust and operate all lottery businesses, including Lotto and pension lotteries, for the next five years starting from December 2nd.
